How personalized care works

From your numbers, I build the plan.

Care begins with understanding what is happening now. That may come from Know Your Number, recent laboratory results, or the assessment included in a focused program. I then bring the findings together into a plan designed around your priorities, risks, and desired level of support. You get any GLP-1 from your own provider or pharmacy, and I provide the metabolic care and support around it.

A personalized clinical plan

Your plan is built around your own laboratory findings and your situation, including whether you are staying on a GLP-1, preparing to transition off one, already off, or working without one. It protects your muscle and metabolism and includes its own bloodwork. When active, structured metabolic care is the right step, the Metabolic Healthspan Reset is the 16-week program.

The appropriate level of ongoing support

Continuing care comes in two forms. Ongoing Metabolic Care is focused metabolic follow-up: visits with your nurse practitioner, monitoring, and member pricing on labs and supplements. Comprehensive Healthspan Membership is the broader longitudinal relationship, where ongoing hormone and thyroid management and your whole-health clinical care continue with one clinician over time.

Any precise muscle-mass measurement (a DEXA body-composition scan or D3-creatine where available), supportive therapies, and supplements are billed separately, at member pricing, so they never inflate your program price.

The whole picture

What I actually look at.

One clinician connecting the findings and the plan, so nothing is treated in isolation. These are the areas I work through with you.

1

Nutrition and protein

Are you eating enough to support your muscle and blood sugar?

2

Movement and muscle

Are you preserving muscle mass, or just losing weight?

3

Gut and motility

Is constipation, bloating, or poor motility affecting your results?

4

Glucose regulation

What is happening with your insulin sensitivity and blood sugar?

5

Thyroid and hormones

Are your thyroid and other hormones supporting your goals?

6

Sleep and stress

Stress and poor sleep can override your progress, so we address them alongside everything else.

When you want these areas looked at together and actively improved, the Metabolic Healthspan Reset is the 16-week program that evaluates your hormones and thyroid as part of your full metabolic picture and builds the plan from your own labs.

Stay ahead

I coordinate anything that needs a closer look, and your surveillance continues in your ongoing care.

Your $695 covers two visits: a 60-minute initial consult for your cancer-risk assessment, and a 45-minute follow-up visit where we review your results and build your screening calendar together. Genetic testing, when indicated, is ordered through an outside genetics lab and billed separately, commonly around $250, and many plans cover it. HSA and FSA welcome.

Simple, direct care

Direct-pay, so your care comes first.

Root & Remedy Integrative Care is a direct-pay practice. Insurance is built around short, problem-focused visits, and the longer, root-cause care I practice is time it does not usually cover. Working with you directly is what protects that time and keeps your plan guided by what you actually need. I work to keep it as affordable as I can, and HSA and FSA cards are welcome. If it is helpful, I am glad to provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Good questions

Common questions.

How is this different from a wellness or health coach?

A wellness coach can help with accountability, habits, and implementation. As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, I can evaluate symptoms, order and interpret laboratory testing, assess clinical risk, and develop a plan that accounts for your health history and current medical care. Coaching may support the plan, but it does not replace clinical assessment.

Why pay for a membership when I have insurance?

Insurance is generally structured around shorter, problem-focused visits. Root & Remedy Integrative Care uses a direct-pay model so there is time to examine patterns across your symptoms, laboratory results, history, and long-term goals.

You keep using your insurance for prescriptions, imaging, specialists, emergencies, and surgeries. The membership is the ongoing relationship and management insurance was never built to provide.

Do you prescribe the GLP-1 medication?

No. Your GLP-1 stays with your own prescribing clinician, who manages the medication and any dosing decisions. My work is the metabolic care around it: protecting your muscle, bone, and metabolic rate, monitoring your labs, and building the nutrition and strength plan, whether you are staying on a GLP-1, considering a transition off, or building metabolic health without one.
