How Root & Remedy Integrative Care collects, uses, and shares consumer health data, including information you provide through our wellness quiz.
Effective date: August 28, 2026. This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how Root & Remedy Integrative Care ("Root & Remedy Integrative Care," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects consumer health data. It applies to the consumer health data we collect through our public website, including the Find My Supplements wellness quiz, which is a nationwide consumer wellness service available to residents of all states. It is provided in addition to our Privacy Policy, and where a term addresses consumer health data specifically, this policy governs.
This policy addresses consumer health data as defined under the Washington My Health My Data Act. That law can apply to businesses that provide products or services to Washington residents, including businesses located outside Washington. Residents of other states, including Nevada, Connecticut, Colorado, and California, may have additional or different rights under their own consumer health data or privacy laws, described in our Privacy Policy. For example, Nevada's consumer health data law defines consumer health data to include health conditions, medication use, symptoms, and information inferred or derived by an algorithm, and Connecticut's consumer health data provisions can apply to any controller doing business in or targeting residents of Connecticut, regardless of business size or data-volume thresholds.
Consumer health data is personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. On this website, it can include the wellness goals you select, the medication categories and health conditions you report on the quiz safety screen, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, supplement use, and any wellness or health inferences we derive from those answers to generate your results.
Through the Find My Supplements quiz, we collect only what you voluntarily provide, which may include: the wellness goal you choose; a short refining answer about that goal; the medication and condition categories you select on the safety screen (for example, whether you take a blood thinner, diabetes medication, thyroid medication, or a psychiatric medication, whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or whether you are preparing for surgery); and the supplement recommendation category your answers map to. We ask about categories, not your full medication list, diagnoses, doses, or clinical history. We do not require you to create an account or provide your name to see your results.
We collect consumer health data directly from you when you complete the quiz. We do not purchase consumer health data, and we do not collect it from data brokers.
We use the consumer health data you provide to generate your quiz results and supplement suggestions, to identify situations where we should limit an automated recommendation or suggest professional review, to respond to you if you contact us, and to maintain and improve the quiz and our educational materials. We process the categories of medications and conditions you report only to apply the quiz's safety logic. We do not use consumer health data to make individualized medical decisions, and completing the quiz does not create a clinician-patient relationship.
We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it in exchange for anything of value. We do not use consumer health data for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not place advertising or tracking pixels on the quiz pages that would transmit your health answers to advertising platforms.
We share consumer health data only with service providers that help us operate the website and quiz, and only as needed for the purposes above. These service providers are contractually limited to processing the information on our behalf. These providers currently include Cloudflare (website hosting and security) and, if you separately choose to receive email from us, Kit (email delivery), which receives only your email address and first name, not your quiz answers. When you click a purchase link, you are taken to the dispensary (Designs for Health, or Fullscript if offered) to complete your order on that company's own website under its own privacy practices; we do not transmit your quiz answers to them. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights. We will not disclose consumer health data to a government agency without a valid legal requirement, and we will obtain your affirmative consent or a valid authorization before any sharing that the law requires it for.

We aim to collect only what is reasonably necessary to generate your results and to keep it only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Because the quiz does not require an account, results generated in your browser are not tied to your identity unless you separately give us your contact information.
Subject to applicable law and verification of your request, you may ask us to confirm whether we are processing your consumer health data, to access that data, to delete it, and to withdraw consent you previously gave for its collection, use, or sharing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response or contacting us again, and we will inform you of the outcome. You may also have the right to contact the Washington State Attorney General or your own state's regulator.
You can withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or sharing of your consumer health data at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already occurred while your consent was in effect.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the consumer health data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes that affect consumer health data will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
