Healthspan care for women

Your metabolism shapes more than your weight.

Changes in your weight, energy, strength, sleep, or laboratory results can feel disconnected. Root & Remedy Integrative Care helps you understand how those changes fit together and what deserves attention next.

What brought you here?

You do not have to know exactly what kind of care you need. Start with what is changing for you.

Not sure which path fits? Know Your Number is the simplest place to start.

My metabolism feels different

My weight, energy, strength, or numbers have changed.

Something has shifted, but you do not want another generic diet or a plan built around the scale alone. You want to understand what may be driving the change and what deserves attention first.

This sounds like me
I am taking a GLP-1

I want to support my health while I stay on my GLP-1 or prepare to come off.

Support your nutrition, muscle, strength, and metabolic health while staying on the medication, or build the foundations you may need before and during a transition off. You can keep your own prescriber, or have Sheri Erwin, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, prescribe and manage an FDA-approved branded GLP-1 as part of your care when it is clinically appropriate.

This sounds like me
I want the whole picture

I want my hormones, thyroid, gut, and metabolism considered together.

You are tired of treating each symptom as a separate problem. You want one clinician to connect what is happening now and build a plan around the whole picture.

This sounds like me
I am thinking ahead

I want to understand my future risk and stay ahead of it.

Family history or changes in your health have made prevention feel more urgent. You want to understand what can be measured, what may be modifiable, and what deserves closer attention.

Recommended when you want a clearer picture

Make the invisible easier to see.

Your birthday tells you how many years you have lived. Your estimated biological-age reference gives us another lens on how your body is functioning today, and a number we can follow alongside the metabolic, cardiovascular, and other markers we are working on together.

It is not a diagnosis or a prediction of how long you will live, and a change in the number does not prove that aging has been reversed. I use it as one more reference point to help make your health trajectory easier to see and follow over time.

Already have recent labs from the last 90 days? Bring them for $199 →

Around 45 biomarkers in your Healthspan Core Panel:

Blood sugar with advanced metabolic markers Cholesterol with advanced heart markers Thyroid Complete blood count, kidney & liver Inflammation Vitamin D

Each result is read against your optimal targets, the levels associated with feeling and functioning well, which are usually tighter than a standard lab’s broad “normal.” That includes markers many basic panels leave out, like the hormones behind appetite, so early shifts can show up sooner.

1Measure what is happening nowComplete your included Healthspan Core Panel at a participating Quest or Labcorp location in one of the nine states where clinical care is available.
2Make sense of the patternsYour laboratory results and estimated biological age give us a visual starting point, not just another list of numbers.
3Know what deserves attention nextAt your results visit, we identify the two or three priorities most relevant to your health and discuss the level of support that fits.

No obligation to continue. You keep your lab results, your estimated biological age, and the two or three priorities we identify.

Already know you want active, structured care? You may enroll directly in the Metabolic Healthspan Reset.

If you enter an eligible focused program within 30 days, your $299 Know Your Number fee is credited toward that program. Follow-up testing varies by program.

Available only to women physically located in one of the nine states where Sheri Erwin, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is licensed. The Quest and Labcorp locations are simply where your labs are drawn within those states.

The bigger picture

Healthspan is how well you get to live the years ahead.

Lifespan is the number of years you live. Healthspan is how many of those years you remain strong, capable, clear, engaged, and able to do what matters to you.

The goal is not to chase youth or promise that aging can be stopped. It is to understand what is changing now, respond to important risks, and build the physical and metabolic capacity that supports your life for decades.

Where we often begin

Metabolic health is a foundation of healthspan, not the whole story.

Metabolic changes may first show up as shifts in weight, energy, appetite, strength, blood sugar, cholesterol, or other laboratory patterns. But those patterns do not exist in isolation. Effective healthspan care looks at what they connect to and what they may affect over time.

01

Metabolism and energy

Understand patterns involving blood sugar, insulin regulation, lipids, appetite, inflammation, weight, and energy so the plan addresses more than the number on the scale.

The outcomeBuild greater metabolic stability and a clearer understanding of what your body needs.

02

Muscle, bone, and physical freedom

Muscle and bone influence strength, balance, metabolic health, and the ability to remain independent and active.

The outcomeSupport the strength and physical capacity that allow you to keep doing what you love.

03

Hormones, thyroid, gut, and symptoms

Hormonal transitions, thyroid patterns, digestion, sleep, stress, and nutrition can all influence how a woman feels and functions.

The outcomeConnect symptoms that may have been evaluated separately and build a more complete plan.

04

Prevention and future risk

Family history, laboratory patterns, lifestyle, and existing conditions can help identify what deserves attention before it becomes a larger problem.

The outcomeUnderstand the risks you can address now and create a more intentional plan for the years ahead.

What you want back

Feel more like yourself again, and more confident about where your health is heading.

Maybe you want more energy. To feel stronger. To stop wondering why your weight or metabolism suddenly feels harder to manage. To know whether your hormones or thyroid are part of the picture, instead of guessing.

Maybe you want to understand what your numbers are actually telling you before blood sugar, cholesterol, muscle loss, or family history becomes a bigger concern.

Or maybe you simply want one clinician who can look across all of it with you.

This is about understanding what you can influence now, so you can protect your energy, strength, metabolic health, and freedom for the years ahead.

You do not have to be trying to lose weight to benefit from this care.

This is the goal

Strong, capable, and free to keep doing what you love.

That is the healthspan outcome behind the laboratory testing, nutrition plans, strength work, and clinical decisions.

I created Root & Remedy Integrative Care because women deserve more than being told that every concern is separate or that nothing is wrong because a result falls inside a reference range.

My work is to connect what is happening now with the health you are building for the years ahead. I combine conventional clinical training with functional and integrative approaches to evaluate symptoms, laboratory patterns, health history, lifestyle, and future risk as parts of one picture.

Is this the right fit?

Who this is for.

Care here is for women who want to understand their own health and act on it. To save you time, here is who it fits and who it does not.

This is for you if

  • You want to understand what your metabolism is doing now and what is driving it, at any age.
  • You want your own numbers, your labs and estimated biological age, made clear, with the two or three things that deserve attention.
  • You want one clinician looking across your metabolism, hormones, thyroid, muscle, and prevention together.
  • You are staying on a GLP-1, coming off one, or working without one, and you want the metabolic care around it.

This may not be the right fit if

  • You want a prescription filled and nothing more. That is a fine choice, and your own prescriber or pharmacy is the right place for it.
  • Rapid weight loss is your only goal. The work here is built to protect your muscle and metabolism for the long term.
  • You are outside Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Montana, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming and want individualized medical care. The Metabolic Defense Project is the nationwide option for education and coaching.
  • You need same-day help for a simple, acute concern. Quick Care is the faster route for that.

Not sure where to begin?

Two questions, and I'll tell you exactly where to start.

Answer where you live and what's on your mind, and you'll get pointed to the specific program built for that, not a generic list. No email required.

Good questions

Common questions.

Is Root & Remedy Integrative Care a weight-loss practice?

No. Root & Remedy Integrative Care is a healthspan practice with a strong focus on metabolic health because metabolism influences energy, strength, body composition, cardiovascular risk, and how the body changes over time. Weight may be one part of the picture, but it is never the only outcome we follow.

Do I have to start with Know Your Number?

No. Know Your Number is the recommended starting point when you want objective information or are unsure which level of care fits. If you already know you want active, structured care, you may enroll directly in the Metabolic Healthspan Reset. Continuing memberships are available to established patients when clinically appropriate.

What does estimated biological age tell me?

Estimated biological age uses selected blood biomarkers to provide a visual reference for how certain metabolic, cardiovascular, and inflammatory patterns compare with chronological age. It is not a diagnosis or prediction. It gives us a baseline and another way to follow relevant markers over time.

Can you prescribe a GLP-1, or can I keep my own prescriber?

Both work. You can keep your own prescriber, who stays responsible for the medication, while Root & Remedy Integrative Care supports your nutrition, muscle, strength, metabolic patterns, laboratory monitoring, side effects, and longer-term health plan. When it is clinically appropriate, Sheri Erwin, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, can also prescribe and manage an FDA-approved branded GLP-1 as part of your care.

Where is clinical care available?

Individualized telehealth medical care is available to women physically located in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Montana, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming. The Metabolic Defense Project is a separate nationwide wellness education and coaching program available in all 50 states.

What does care cost?

Know Your Number is $299 with laboratory testing included, or $199 when you bring qualifying recent comprehensive labs. The Metabolic Healthspan Reset is $3,200, with a four-payment option of $800 per month. Continuing care is available to established patients when clinically appropriate, with complete pricing shown on the Programs page.

Build from where you are.

Whether you are concerned about changes in your metabolism, taking a GLP-1, trying to understand whole-body symptoms, or thinking more seriously about future risk, you do not have to determine the next step alone. Let's identify the starting point that fits your health, priorities, and desired level of support.
